Trenval has been helping small business in the Belleville, Quinte West, Stirling-Rawdon, Tyendinaga and Deseronto region since 1987 and has invested more than $32 million in small businesses impacting over 4,000 jobs through partner referrals, advisory services and investment resources.

Our Mission:
Trenval Business Development Corporation is a federally supported, not-for-profit Community Futures Development Corporation, administered by a volunteer Board of Directors in partnership with the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario committed to helping to develop and diversify the local economy through community strategic planning, business information, counselling and investment in small business.

Our Mandate:

• To support the creation of additional permanent private sector employment through the provision of advisory and investment services to small business.
• To assist in the establishment of new small businesses.
• To assist in the expansion of existing businesses.
• To act as a catalyst between business and other community organizations with the intention of developing an economic climate in the Trenval area conducive to job creation.
• To promote economic growth throughout the areas serviced.

What Trenval offers:
As a Canada-Ontario Business Service Centre (COBSC), we provide access to accurate, timely and relevant information for the business community on business-oriented programs and services offered by the federal and provincial governments.

Information Officers – Available to guide you through the wealth of programs and services that apply to the business community.
Business links – The Canadian Business Ontario Website provides access to hundreds of carefully categorized links to government and business sites containing useful information as well as helpful business links for global commerce that will be of value to entrepreneurs.
Resource Library – The Trenval library contains over 500 books written by business people who have ‘been there and done that’. Come in, sit comfortably in our resource area and do your business research, or sign out a book for a week.
