SAYING GOOD-BYE TO 2020
Where to start! I have heard 2020 called the "dumpster year" and yes we have all been affected negatively by 2020 is some way (and some more than others of course, as life is) but....when you are at the bottom of a year there is only one way to go and that is to the top of 2021.
So as January rolls in I find myself looking back and indeed have found some "nuggets of good". I won't go into great detail but will only give you a couple of examples. (..lol)
One of the things I have enjoyed is getting re acquainted with my business. Sometimes you work so hard on your business that you forget what it means to work in it on a daily basis. (when I wrote that even I had to re read it...lol that saying usually goes the other way around but like a lot of things this year I have learned that any situation reads two ways) I will give you an example of getting re acquainted.......I have always enjoyed a clean, tidy store (and yes I have been called obsessive about it) but......I am personally hearing compliment after compliment about how nice the store is, and how much people are appreciating the cleaning procedures that we still have in place. So that answers a question that I have had in my head about being too obsessive about cleaning......no the cleaning procedures stay all the way through 2021.
Another really important thing that I have been re minded about is how much I enjoy people and helping them (I know, I know sounds corny but it is true.) If I can help, I do and it brings a smile and even at the end of a very, very long day a sense of joy that is had to describe as anything else but a GREAT TIME,
I could go on and on about these "nuggets of good" from 2020 (...lol) but I think that you get the picture. So I say, lets bring on 2021 with a strong holds on the good and ENJOY each and every wedding because even though Lily's Bridal is closed to the public right now LOVE is not cancelled and LOVE will be celebrated at each wedding that happens this SPRING, this SUMMER, FALL and all through 2021!
Happy New Year to all of our bridal friends and family.
SMILES FROM THE HEART.....and stay safe, happy and be kind always.....LILY
