We are finalizing the dates for the following classes: the Beginner Knitting, Refresher knitting, Beginner Sock, Lace 101, Fair Isle colourwork, Project with guidance, Knitting with Circular needles

Thrumming Mitten class
Intermediate: must have
experience using DPNs
Learn this wonderful
technique called thrumming. We teach you how to make a thrum, several
techniques for knitting in your thrums and general discussions.
These mittens are perfect for
dog walking, keeping your fingers warm and toasty and help keep the winter
winds out.
Kits are available or we can
build one for you.
Saturday daytime = February 1st – 10am to
12pm
Cost $ 50.00 includes all
materials – please bring your own needles – 4.5mm – 5.mm DPNs
Class fee includes: pattern,
yarn, roving, 2 hours of instructions

February 4th - Felting class - Learn about felting. FREE patterns!!
We are making Felted Dryer Balls 1pm to 3pm
Cost: $20.00- materials available to make 1 dryer ball
(bring scrap 100% wool, needle felting tools if you have them)

Absolute beginner –

catch and fix a mistake. Learn how to “frog it” back and fix your mistake.
Learn the old “hook and ladder” method of fixing mistakes.
Wednesday daytime = Feb. 5th – 10am to 12pm
Cost $ 29.00 includes
handouts and 2 hours of instructions
Class fee includes: This time we ask you to come with
some homework. Instructions handed out at time of registration
Materials to bring: two
swatches, 4.5mm to 5mm needles, 3mm crochet hook
It’s Toe Up sock time – fast paced class
Intermediate: must have
experience using DPNs Previous
sock knitting required:
Toe-up sock
knitting has its advantages: you can try on your sock as you go, leave no
leftover yarns behind
We start
with a small sample sock and move on to start your first pair of full size
socks toe cast-on, short row heel, shaping gussets, stretchy specialty cast-offs.
